    BLT SLAC Bone Level Tapered Implants

    The Bone Level Tapered Implant (BLT) is a Bone Level Implant suitable for implant treatments at bone level in combination with transmucosal or submucosal healing. The rough implant surface extends to the top of the implant and the microgap shifted inwards away from the bone.

    Most early implant failures occur in the critical healing period between weeks 2 and 4 after implant placement¹⁷. Although similar healing patterns were observed for both SLA® and SLActive® Implants, bone-to-implant contact (BIC) was greater after 2 weeks and significantly greater after 4 weeks for SLActive® (p-value < 0.05)¹⁶. With the chemically active and hydrophilic SLActive® surface Straumann has established a new standard in oral implantology.

    Megatray is a light curing tray material for the fabrication of individual custom trays with extremely highdimensional stability. The composite resin is presentedin form of contoured wafers in the colors pink, blueand transparent (natural).
    The simple processing of Megatray with a long modeling and processing time makes the efficient production of individual custom trays in the laboratory anddental cabinet possible.The universal form and theconsistent thickness of 2.2 mm of Megatray allows theproduction of upper and lower trays.The grip can bemade from the rest of the material.After modulationMegatray must be cured in a light curing unit,e. a.Megalight, for app. 5 minutes.The consistently highquality of the material guarantees a minor polymerization shrinkage (below 2 vol.%) and excellent form stability.
